      In the distant future, the pilot of an illegal spacecraft recounts her childhood growing up in the slums of an industrial space station. Torus is a science-fiction fable about what remains of us when the world we once knew is gone, and what it takes to hold onto our humanity in an increasingly cold and hostile universe.
