Held on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at Goodwill Industries, this prestigious kickoff event sets the stage just one night before their 10 days of film premieres, industry panels, mixers, and much more.
The Gala brings together film lovers, creators, and community leaders to celebrate their incredible lineup of regional filmmaking talent and the exciting international picks that will grace London’s screens throughout the festival week.
The evening features an exquisite "dinner-by-the-bite" buffet available upstairs throughout the reception and presentation.
The Evening Timeline:
- 6 PM – Welcome Drinks
- Arrive via the main floor lobby and head upstairs to the opening reception. Each ticket includes a complimentary welcome cocktail, with additional drink tickets available for purchase via debit or credit card.
- Exclusive Silent Auction Access (opens at 6 PM)
- While upstairs, step into the Sunset Room to explore their festival-wide Silent Auction. Gala attendees will have the exclusive first opportunity to browse the collection, place bids, or take advantage of special, one-night-only "Buy It Now" pricing before the auction opens to the general public.
- 7 PM – Main Festival Presentation & Impact Award
- Transition into the main ballroom for their festival presentation and a look at the week ahead. The presentation highlights the official ceremony for the newly minted Impact Award, presented by the Good Foundation, honouring world-renowned author and screenwriter Emma Donoghue.
- Post-Presentation – Cocktail Hour
- Guests will head to the main floor for an after-mingle and networking reception at Edgar and Joe's to wrap up a spectacular evening of community and film.
