Christophe, a 10-year-old boy in the French countryside’s life is thrown off-balance when he is prescribed a back brace, designed to keep his spine from tilting to the side. With his new iron corset, Christophe becomes the butt of many jokes at school, and in the meantime struggles to be of much help to his family on his farm. As he attempts to live up to his family’s expectations, Christophe goes through many of the trials that take someone from childhood to their teenage years: a first crush, troubles with friends, and that first taste of independence.
