Born with a neurological disease, Faye Simmons is a wheelchair user who depends on daily help from support workers. But outside of her home, Faye is an avid gardener, a lover of the outdoors, and a community leader. As someone who understands the need for belonging and the value of mutual compassion and helping others, Faye’s love of growing food leads her to co-found The PATCH, a local organization dedicated to food security for vulnerable communities within the city.
