Working on a new horror movie about crabs, a rookie sound recordist is tasked by the film director to head to the remote community of Pincer Point to record a voiceover with a mysterious woman, and hopefully to capture a sound that no one in the world has ever heard before. When the recordist arrives to the community, he finds that the woman he is looking for has been missing for weeks, and it seems that the curse of a pirate ghost may be floating around, responsible for the disappearances of many others.
