The Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race is Canada's largest and oldest engineering competition being hosted in London from February 4 -8, 2026. The technical exhibition being hosted at RBC place showcases 20 Canadian and US university and college displays of their engineered toboggan and team spirit. Each toboggan is a 5-person sled comprised of a metal frame, steering, braking and suspensions systems running on reinforced concrete skis. Teams design and build their toboggans new every year based on a stringent set of rules ensuring safety and ingenuity.
