Following the January 23, 2026 release of their self-titled final studio album, MEGADETH will launch a farewell tour across Canada. Fans can expect a career-spanning setlist featuring classics from the band’s extensive catalogue, as well as new material from the upcoming album. Leading up to the release, the band—Dave Mustaine, Teemu Mäntysaari, James LoMenzo, and Dirk Verbeuren—issued two advance tracks: “I Don’t Care” and the first single “Tipping Point.” They also announced a special bonus track, a reimagined version of “Ride the Lightning,” originally co-written by Mustaine with Metallica’s James Hetfield, Cliff Burton, and Lars Ulrich.
Earlier in the year, Mustaine shared with fans that this record would be MEGADETH’s final studio album. With over 50 million records sold worldwide and a GRAMMY® Award among their many accolades, the band revealed details of both the album and the farewell tour through Mustaine’s alter ego, Vic Rattlehead.
