Reuben and the Dark, led by Calgary singer-songwriter Reuben Bullock, has spent over a decade sharing heartfelt, atmospheric songs across North America and Europe. The band has toured with artists such as Vance Joy, Mumford and Sons, and The Paper Kites, and their music has been featured in films and television including Killers of the Flower Moon, Breaking Bad, The Highwaymen, and Grey’s Anatomy. This year marks the eleven-year anniversary of their debut album Funeral Sky, a record that set the stage for a career defined by community, connection, and songs that continue to evolve with the audiences who sing them back.
In recent years, Reuben has also collaborated with the Bullhorn Singers, a Blackfoot Powwow group from Kainai, performing across Canada and releasing a joint album in 2025. As the band prepares for its fifth full-length release, Reuben and the Dark continues to embrace honesty, storytelling, and the search for beauty in life’s shadows, carrying forward a body of work that feels both intimate and expansive.
