Madison Violet is a Canadian, Juno-nominated female musical duo consisting of Lisa MacIsaac and Brenley MacEachern. Growing up on rural Cape Breton Island, the pair began creating music together in the late 1990s, blending their maritime heritage with contemporary elements. Their sound defies easy categorization, seamlessly combining folk, singer-songwriter, pop, indie, bluegrass, and country. Both skilled multi-instrumentalists and exceptional storytellers, MacIsaac and MacEachern are known for their harmonies and emotionally resonant lyrics that captivate audiences.
Over their career, Madison Violet has released more than 10 albums, including their latest, eleven, which they self-recorded and produced—placing them among a rare group of female-identifying music producers. Their work has earned them numerous accolades, including a JUNO nomination for Roots & Traditional Album of the Year, a Canadian Folk Music Award, and chart success on Canadian iTunes and Spotify. The duo tours internationally, regularly receives critical acclaim for their live and studio performances, and actively advocate for social justice while celebrating their identities as members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
