      Enjoy an afternoon of Black history and music inside the restored African Methodist Episcopal Church at Fanshawe Pioneer Village!

      Musical artist Denise Pelley and accompanist Stephen Holowitz present the latest edition of this intimate lecture and listen series. Hear tales of Famous Black Canadians interspersed with moving musical performances.

      This fourth edition focuses on Carrie Best, Human Rights Activist, Author and Journalist, as well as Oscar Peterson, Jazz Pianist, Composer and Educator.

      This event will take place on Sunday, October 5 from 2 PM - 3 PM. Limited tickets are available for $20 (+ Eventbrite fee), and will include admission to the Heritage Village. Purchase your tickets at fanshawepioneervillage.ca/events.
