Spend the Day, Experience a Century - at Fanshawe Pioneer Village
Take a step back in time at Fanshawe Pioneer Village, one of London’s most unique and engaging heritage attractions. Operated by the non-profit London & Middlesex Heritage Museum, Fanshawe Pioneer Village is located within the scenic Fanshawe Conservation Area, in northeast London.
This open-air, living history museum offers a glimpse into life in London and rural Middlesex County, between 1820 and 1920. Wander the Village and explore 34 carefully restored heritage or replica buildings. Meet costumed historical interpreters who bring history to life by sharing stories, and demonstrating daily-life activities, skills, crafts and trades.
From rural homes, farms and business to community spaces like schools, churches, and halls - every corner of the Village offers a window into the past. Whether you're an interested local, a history enthusiast, a family on holiday, or a curious traveller, Fanshawe Pioneer Village offers a fun and enriching experience for all.
Depending on when you visit, you may also discover a seasonal exhibit featuring artifacts from the Museum’s extensive collection on display in the Spriet Family Visitor Centre.
