Irish Mythen (they/them) is a globally acclaimed contemporary roots artist originally from Ireland and now based in Prince Edward Island, Canada. Known for their powerful voice and captivating stage presence, Irish has built a reputation for forging deep connections with audiences around the world. Their career includes standout performances at iconic venues such as the Sydney Opera House and Glastonbury Festival, as well as features in major media outlets like Rolling Stone and Australian Guitar Magazine.
Their album Little Bones earned widespread recognition, including a 2020 JUNO Award nomination for Contemporary Roots Album of the Year, two Music PEI awards (out of seven nominations), and the 2020 Canadian Folk Music Award for Solo Artist of the Year. Their previous self-titled album also received critical acclaim, with recognition from Music PEI, the East Coast Music Association, Folk Alliance International, and SOCAN. A new album is set for release in spring 2026.
