    LONDON, August 10, 2026 – The stage is set for the 2026 FISU World University Championship Rowing to begin later this week at Fanshawe Conservation Area. Over 300 athletes from 20 countries have travelled to London and will compete this Thursday, August 13 to Saturday, August 15. 2026. This year’s event marks the first time the FISU World University Championships Rowing have been hosted in North America.

It’s been a pleasure working with our local partners and we look forward to  providing a warm Canadian welcome to these athletes, coaches and officials who’ve travelled from around the world.”

    Tourism London, Western University, USPORTS, Rowing Canada and the Upper Thames Conservation Area have all partnered and played vital roles contributing to the success of the event.

    The event is open to the public, for those looking to attend. No tickets are required and admission to Fanshawe Conservation Area is completely free for spectators. Competition begins Thursday morning.
