Corn Roast with Ron Benner – Doors Open London
Drop-in, all welcome. Rain or shine.
Museum London hosts its annual Corn Roast with artist, writer, and gardener Ron Benner, celebrating the 20th anniversary of his outdoor installation As the Crow Flies. This site-specific water garden, installed in 2005, follows the 81.14th meridian and explores themes of colonization, migration, and resistance through agriculture.
Guests can enjoy roasted corn from Benner’s roving wagon, Maiz Barbacoa, featuring images of corn roasters from around the world and names of corn in over 50 languages. Meet the artist, explore the garden, and discover its cultural and historical significance as part of London Heritage Council’s 24th annual Doors Open London.
