Installed prominently at the Museum’s public entrance, the Realignment works by London-based artist Bob Bozak offer a bold look at popular ideas of personal success in a world driven by excess and hyperconsumption. Drawing on an industry with a strong footprint in our region, and from the glossy world of car culture, the artist reimagines familiar automotive branding and design cues through a series of pristine, text-based sculptures. Using iconic fonts and established brand systems, each piece gestures towards myths we associate with status, power, and freedom. At the heart of each work is a short, striking phrase – Suburban Infiniti, Epic Triumph, Continental Fury, American Eclipse – combinations that create a powerful tension between the promises we see in car ads and the reality we live in today.

Spread across ten shimmering sheets of laser-cut steel, Bozak’s Realignment series features sharp design, vibrant auto body colours, and perfectly polished surfaces. But beneath lies a deeper question: what do these words and motifs really say about what we want, who we are, and where we’re going?
