All Around Me, All Around You highlights artworks and artifacts from Museum London’s permanent collections, spanning both the past and present. Borrowing its title from a work by London artist Bernice Vincent (1934–2016), the exhibition underscores the influence of regional artists and the ways in which ordinary and extraordinary surroundings can spark creativity. By drawing from diverse sources—ranging from personal objects to historical works—it demonstrates how art and history intertwine to reflect and inspire human experience over time.
The exhibition explores how inspiration emerges from daily life, whether through relationships, travel, clothing, food, colour, texture, or memory. Visitors are encouraged to engage in multiple ways, including exploring the online collection database, interacting at a tactile touch station, and listening to audio interviews with featured artists. Together, these experiences celebrate creativity and invite audiences to reflect on the beauty and meaning found in the world around them.
