For thousands of years, the Forks of the Thames has been a significant location in this area for trading, growing of crops and meeting. It wasn’t until 1877 that the site became a baseball field, but that is exactly what it has remained to this day. Originally named “Tecumseh Park”, the park was later renamed to its current title “Labatt Memorial Park” and has since been the home of many different teams, leagues, events and even a number of different sports. Over the years, the park has hosted some of baseball’s most legendary players including Ty Cobb, Satchel Paige and Fergie Jenkins.

Book a guided tour to experience one of Southwestern Ontario’s most unique sport attractions and learn more about the 147 year-old history of this baseball gem. Don’t miss your chance to step foot on this historic field, enter the original 1937 Roy McKay Clubhouse and view artifacts that help to tell the story of the park!

Tours are seasonal running from May to end of August so please check website for more information.
