      Museum London is proud to partner with the Forest City Film Festival to present a compelling program of experimental short films—works that challenge cinematic conventions and celebrate the intersection of film, poetry, art, and other media.

      Presented in conjunction with our current exhibition Black Lives Lived Here: London Family Photos, 1910s–1960s, this year’s program features a special screening of A Step Back in Time: An Anderson Party, London (Ontario), 1963, a short film courtesy of Jeff Anderson. Originally filmed on 8mm without sound, this digitized iteration is accompanied by All Night, 2025, an new, original score commissioned from the 519 School of Hip Hop and produced by Christmas Maraka, Greg Thane, and Deem J. A post-screening discussion with Deem J will follow, offering insight into the creative process and the cultural significance of the work.

      This event is part of the Forest City Film Festival (FCFF), running from October 24th to November 2nd, 2025. The FCFF is an annual celebration of cinema, highlighting films with connections to Southwestern Ontario, and showcasing the best new international films from festivals around the world. Learn more
