The Don Wright Faculty of Music at Western University in London, Ontario, is located within a research-intensive institution on a campus that is both inviting and striking. This environment fosters artistic and academic growth, with a strong emphasis on community. The students, numbering among 650 of the brightest and most talented young artist scholars, come to pursue studies in a range of undergraduate and graduate programs.
Visitors are encouraged to experience the rich diversity of musical styles and genres presented by students, faculty, and guest artists. The offerings include student ensemble performances (such as choirs, opera, orchestra, band, jazz, pop band, percussion, salsa band, and early music), faculty concerts, and the signature “Fridays@12:30” concert series. With over 350 concerts and recitals each year—most of which are free. The faculty is pleased to share its music with the community.
