  • LONDON, ON (March 27, 2025) – The best curlers from around the world are set to take over the Forest City as the Grand Slam of Curling sweeps into London for the WFG Masters, September 23-28 at the Western Fair Sports Centre.

London will play host to curling's finest as the world’s top 16 men's and 16 women's teams hit the ice, including Olympic medallists, world champions, and Canadian favourites. This is the first time a Grand Slam of Curling event has been held in London.
“It’s truly special to have the opportunity to compete in front of my hometown crowd alongside the biggest and brightest stars in curling. What you see on the ice at the Grand Slam of Curling event is truly the best-on-best,” said Sarah Wilkes, two-time reigning world champion as lead on Team Homan. “London has a legacy of hosting and supporting world-class sporting events, with a community that thrives on exciting competitions while having a good time – which is what the Grand Slam of Curling is all about.”

In addition to the main event, a supplementary Tier 2 event will take place during the same time period at a local curling club (location to be announced). The Tier 2 event will provide up to 32 additional teams with the opportunity to sharpen their skills and earn points as they work towards reaching the next level of success in the sport. With the inclusion of the Tier 2 event, the Grand Slam of Curling will bring more than 250 athletes to the London region.

"London has a proud history of hosting world-class sporting events, and we are thrilled to welcome the Grand Slam of Curling to our city for the first time,” said City of London Mayor Josh Morgan. “This event will bring together the world’s best curlers and passionate fans, creating an unforgettable experience while showcasing London as a premier destination for sports and entertainment. We look forward to celebrating the skill, strategy, and excitement of curling right here in the Forest City."
