  • LONDON, April 18, 2023 - The 16th annual London Heritage Awards were held on Thursday, April 13th at Museum London. Given out each year by the London Region branch of Architectural Conservancy of Ontario (ACO London) and Heritage London Foundation (HLF), this awards program seeks to recognize individuals and organizations from either the private or public sector who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to the conservation of London’s built heritage.

This year’s winner of the Local History Award was Labatt Park Tours, a guided tour program of the world’s oldest continually operating baseball groups, established by Tourism London in partnership with the Friends of Labatt Park advocacy group, and the London Majors Alumni Association.

“We are honoured to have the Labatt Park Tour program receive the 2023 Local History Award. This award is the result of a tremendous partnership between Tourism London, Friends of Labatt Park, London Majors Alumni Association, and countless other individuals who all share a passion of promoting Labatt Park and its wonderful history. We are so proud to have the world oldest continually operating baseball grounds right here in London and look forward to another busy summer touring visitors from across North America around the park.”
-Zanth Jarvis - Director, Sport Tourism, Tourism London
