  • After the successes of 2018, the curling world will be making a rapid return to London, Ont., for the 2020 Continental Cup of Curling.

And as of today, you have your opportunity to be a part of what promises to be another amazing event.

Volunteer applications are now being accepted for the 2020 Continental Cup of Curling, which is scheduled for Jan. 9-12 at The Sports Centre at Western Fair District.

The Continental Cup is the most unique event in curling, and will feature the world’s best men’s and women’s teams going head-to-head in a variety of formats.

Being part of the Continental Cup behind the scenes is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, so it’s recommended that you get involved quickly, especially based on the enthusiasm of the London volunteer base in 2018. A variety of volunteer roles are available for set-up and takedown, working in the stands during games and behind the scenes at various checkpoints. Volunteers are also needed for a variety of media roles and assisting in keeping lounges stocked with refreshments and food.

All volunteers pay a $100 rewards fee, which includes:

    • Official volunteer uniform and handbook
    • Limited edition volunteer pin
    • Access to the Patch with live entertainment
    • Invitation to the volunteer appreciation party.

The 2020 Continental Cup of Curling will feature 12 teams — six team from North America taking on six teams from the rest of the world.
