Western University has a very strong varsity athletics program. The squash team has won 33 consecutive championships, cheerleading has won 30 of the past 31 national championships, and football has won 30 OUA championships more than any other school.
The Western Fair Raceway is fully operational year round featuring simulcast and live harness racing. The grounds also includes a slots casino, an agriplex, and a four-pad sports arena known as the #1 tournament venue in all of Southwestern Ontario.
