The Exhibition:
GLOBAL WAR-n-m-ING MIRAGES is a large body of artwork that encompasses historical paintings and documentary photographic imagery eradicated by a painting process offering visually imagined atmospheric agencies of global environmental stress. In the installation UV INDEX, wild-fires and wild-waters multiple paintings transform worldwide global warming catastrophes into unrecognizable visual realities of placeless mirages of accumulative energy.
The Artist:
Gary Spearin, MFA, BFA, is a visual artist working in a hybrid zone of traditional to contemporary media and ideas. In various media Spearin’s personal techniques of production instigate boundless observation within making skills and offer the same for a viewer. A workout for eye, mind and body.
