    Shari Hatt: Screen Tests (After Warhol)

    Projected onto our outdoor screens facing the river in the evening and on our indoor screens during the day Screen Tests (After Warhol), by Canadian artist Shari Hatt, takes its name from the faux screen tests filmed by Pop Art master Andy Warhol between 1964 and 1966. Rather than performing, Warhol’s celebrity “actors,” including film star Edie Sedgewick, musician Bob Dylan, and artist Salvador Dalí, among others, simply stare blankly out at the viewer. In this 2012 video, Hatt transforms ordinary pet dogs into stars, with eleven comic Chihuahuas breaking the “fourth wall” to beguile people passing by.

Audience members are encouraged to bring along their animal knowledge and participate in the action right from their seats by calling out answers to the questions posed by the Kratt Brothers during the show. Since their original Wild Kratts LIVE! touring show launched in 2014, Chris and Martin have performed to wildly-enthusiastic crowds of hundreds of thousands of fans – many of them sporting their own Creature Power Suits, just like the Kratt Brothers do in the popular series – in more than 135 cities across North America.

    Get ready to dust off your street dancing shoes because guess what?!?! STREET SALSA FRIDAYS ARE BACK FOR 2024 and we couldn't be more thrilled! Starting MAY 3rd until SEPTEMBER 27th, Dundas Place is the place to be, hosting these lively events in collaboration with Latin Passion Dance Academy and Casa Latina. This year, the stage for a season of sensational salsa dancing will be under the beautiful and enchanting Market Lane light canopy at 137 Dundas Street, London, Ontario. The evening will usually kick off with an easy to learn, easy to follow dance lesson by Latin Passion Dance Academy from 7:15 to 8 PM, followed by a dance social from 8 to 10 PM. Expect a mix of salsa, bachata, and merengue tunes spun by live bands and DJs throughout the season. Remember, it's a FREE EVENT and ALL ARE WELCOME, regardless of your dance abilities.
