Songs for the Chameleon began as a collection of sixteen studio audio compositions, each influenced by a broad swath of styles, ranging from David Bowie, Radiohead and Kraftwerk, to blues to jazz. These became the inspiration for accompanying video works, including the stop motion animation film Forbidden Planet. In this, the artist’s great aunt, Sister Cosmos (no, really), a Catholic nun, takes a stroll through hell where she encounters demons, sprites, and the anti-Christ. It is good fun for the whole family.
