Museum London’s collection of cigar boxes, fans, and silverware embody important parts of the community’s history. Cigar boxes, with their colourful images, illustrate a part of London’s industrial past. Fans for their part, are fashion accessories, souvenirs, and, on occasion, promotional items. As for silverware, it was sometimes a gift to mark a milestone, and other times a status symbol, and always decorative.
