  • LONDON, February 19, 2021 – Aimed at supporting the live music sector through to the other side of this pandemic, Revive Live provides for the safe presentation of music in London with support for artists, music venues, venue staff and production crews. Revive Live brings together a collective of organizations focused on strategically kickstarting the safe re-opening of London music venues and public concerts.

Phase One of Revive Live will feature performances broadcast from various London music venues over the coming months. The program will work towards safely re-introducing patrons to live music events with the goal of boosting recovery for the industry working under the COVID- 19 Response Framework: Keeping Ontario Safe & Open guidelines.

“Prior to the pandemic, London’s live music industry was growing steadily with 4,700+ events held annually in London while employing nearly 1,000 full-time equivalent jobs (not including musicians),” says Cory Crossman, Music Industry Development Officer for The City of London. “The live music industry was one of the hardest hit by this pandemic and will be one of the last to recover. Revive Live will jumpstart a portion of the local economy offering support to the live music sector on the road to recovery.”
