Culture & Entertainment Tourism Innovation Award Finalists Announced

WOODSTOCK, Ont., February 11, 2020 The Southwest Ontario Tourism Corporation (SWOTC) recently announced the finalists for the 2019 Innovation Awards to be presented at the annual Ontario’s Southwest Tourism Conference; being held in Chatham-Kent on March 3rd and 4th .

Innovator of the Year finalists includes Forest City Culinary, Lambton Heritage Museum, and Texas Long Horn Ranch. Innovator of the Year award recognizes businesses, organizations and leaders who are building the tourism industry within Ontario’s Southwest with purpose and passion.

Innovative Experience of the Year finalists includes Culture City X, hosted by London Arts Council, Sweetest Smell on Earth – Maple Dining Experience, hosted by Richardson’s Farm, and Truffle Camp, hosted by Chocolatea. Innovative Experience of the Year award recognizes meaningful experiences, events, and programming offered to travellers that are telling the stories of Ontario’s Southwest.

Ontario's Southwest Tourism Conference

SWOTC will host the 9th annual Ontario’s Southwest Tourism Conference for over 200 tourism professionals on March 3rd - 4th at John D. Bradley Convention Centre in Chatham. The conference allows businesses and individuals to expand their knowledge on current happenings in the tourism industry from tourism experts from across Canada. Winners of the Innovation Awards will be announced on March 4th at the conference.

Southwest Ontario Tourism Corporation operates as a non-profit organization, working collaboratively with tourism stakeholders and municipal tourism offices to champion tourism as a vital economic driver.
