As we approach the end of summer, we’re excited to share important updates, new learning opportunities and collaborative initiatives that highlight London’s leadership in tourism innovation.

Here’s what you’ll find in this edition:

Introducing the MyLondon App

London is breaking new ground with the launch of the MyLondon App - Canada’s first community super-app. Built in partnership with LEDC, Welcome Platform, Western University and Fanshawe College, this digital hub connects residents, students, newcomers and visitors.

Key Features:

1. For visitors: AI-powered itinerary builder & real-time event listings
2. For residents: Job matching & city services
3. For students: Tools to explore London beyond campus

Multilingual, personalized and privacy-first, the app makes city life more connected and accessible.

This app will be continually improved and updated, with integration of all of Tourism London’s partners. We invite industry partners to get involved, provide feedback and help shape this innovative platform.

TIAO Launches Forward Motion: 2025–2030 Strategic Playbook

On August 11, the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario (TIAO) officially launched Forward Motion, a bold five-year plan to strengthen Ontario’s visitor economy.

The strategy focuses on:

1. Growing markets & attracting investment
2. Building workforce capacity
3. Enhancing transportation
4. Championing sustainability
5. Strengthening collaboration

Developed with input from operators, DMOs, Indigenous partners, educators and government, Forward Motion charts a path from recovery to renewal.

Experience Development Training – Register Now

Ontario’s Southwest is offering a hands-on training program for individuals interested in building new experiences, leading you from idea creation to being ready to market.

Adapted from the previously Unlocked & Inspired training program, this multi-week course will guide you through the steps of creating your own experience.

London Discovery Tour - Farm & Family Fun

Join us on Monday, September 15, 2025, for the next London Discovery Tour. This edition highlights local farms, markets and family-friendly attractions, offering partners a fresh look at experiences across the city.

Details:

1. Starting point: Tourism London Welcome Centre (696 Wellington Rd.)
2. 8:30 AM – 4:15 PM
3. Dress for the weather; wear comfortable footwear
4. Limited to 40 participants (max. 2 per business)
