Whether you follow sports or not, it’s hard to find anyone who hasn’t heard about the scandals attached to Hockey Canada. Series 2 of the Kiwanis Club of Forest City-London’s Headliners Speaker’s Series delves into the story behind the scandals.
In September 2022, investigative journalist Laura Robinson was featured on The Fifth Estate's episode, "On Thin Ice", which examined her pursuit of the truth about Hockey Canada's dealings with junior players. Laura will present what she uncovered and how this scandal has evolved. Kate Bahen testified before Parliament's Heritage Committee on "Safe Sports" in January 2023. Kate will share with us what transpired.
The room will remain open until 6:00 p.m., allowing participants time to enjoy refreshments (cash bar), mingle and connect with fellow attendees to reflect and discuss the presentation.
