The Museum of Ontario Archaeology, in partnership with FUSION: The Ontario Clay and Glass Association and Clayworx: Ceramic Arts Learning Centre, is excited to offer our 2023 Natural Clay Pottery Course!
Our amazing instructors will guide you through an introduction to earthenware, the regional history of pottery making, and how to collect your own natural clay. Plus you get to experiment by creating your own pot.
This year, we are once again offering a hybrid course, with participants on-site and virtual. Last year’s hybrid course allowed for participation from across London and beyond! We encourage anyone with a good internet connection who are interested to register – wherever you are!
Our course runs from July 5th to August 30th. Please visit our website for the full schedule, but most sessions take place on Wednesday from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
Cost is $90.00 plus HST per participant.
For ages 14 and up.
Please Note: for virtual participants: An internet connection will be required for the course and you will be responsible for finding, collecting, and preparing your own clay. Local participants are invited to fire their creations in a pit-firing on site at the MOA.
