Bringing Classical Music to Life for the Artists of Tomorrow

Magisterra Soloists invites young string players of all levels to join in an exciting and intensive week-long string institute where developing violinists, violists, and cellists will sharpen their skills in a multi-faceted and stimulating peer environment facilitated by first-rate educators and performers.

Dates: July 26-July 31, 2020 (*Final recital for senior students: Saturday, August 1st)
Location: London Waldorf School

SCHEDULE:

SUN 26th: Welcome gathering and faculty recital, 2PM-5PM
MON 27th - THUS 30th : 8:00AM - 4:30PM (Regular camp hours)
FRI 31st : 4:30PM Final Recital for Junior and Intermediate students
*SAT August 1st: 2PM Final recital for Young Artist Program
***An Extended Hours 5:30PM pickup time is available for a fee of $40: please select at checkout***
Ages: 6-25yrs
(N.B! *Daily hot lunch will be provided by Growing Chefs, using only healthy local ingredients!)

Students will receive rich training from a top-notch team of professionals which will include:
Junior (ages 6-10 or RCM 1-3) (Tuition: $450*)
-daily private lessons
-daily ensemble classes (large ensemble, chamber music, etc.)
-daily sight reading class
-daily choral and vocal techniques class
-solo and group performance opportunities
-solo and group rehearsals with a professional pianist
-arts and crafts activities with a professional art instructor
-outdoor recreation and sporting activities
-opportunities to attend select senior-level masterclasses/performances
-attendance of a faculty recital featuring first-rate professional musicians

Intermediate (ages 7-15 or RCM 4-7) (Tuition: $600*)
-daily private lessons
-daily ensemble classes (large ensemble, chamber music, etc.)
-daily sight reading class
-daily choral and vocal techniques class
-supervised chamber music rehearsals and coachings
-daily chamber orchestra rehearsals
-solo and group performance opportunities
-solo and group rehearsals with a professional pianist
-arts and crafts activities with a professional art instructor
-outdoor recreation and sporting activities
-opportunities to attend select senior-level masterclasses/performances
-attendance of a faculty recital featuring first-rate professional musicians

Young Artist (RCM 8+) (Tuition: $800*)
-daily private lessons
-daily masterclass performance/attendance opportunities
-chamber music rehearsals and coachings
-daily rhythmic training and percussion classes
-private rehearsals with a professional pianist
-attendance of a faculty recital featuring first-rate professional musicians
-solo and chamber music performance opportunities
-practice space available (may apply)

(*Full tuition applies for first child. A 10% sibling discount will be applied to any additional students registered from same family.)
