Join us as we celebrate artist Hans Wendt's 3rd exhibition opening reception at the gallery, "Gravibus non Gravibus". PEI artist Hans Wendt is known for his high realist watercolours of carefully composed cut & torn colour paper samples. Over the past two years he has developed a new series, seen for the first time in its completion at the Michael Gibson Gallery this spring. Using his trademark trompe-l'oeil technique, Wendt has turned everything on its head, injecting the new work with humour and levity. Colourfield paint samples take on life, childhood toys become characters and absurd conversations ensue.
