Feeling aimless in life after having a new baby, a creative writing professor is shaken out of her complacency when a free-spirited college friend reenters her life.

“Matt and Mara were extremely close friends in their undergraduate days, but as it always seems to do, time forced them apart. Matt is now a wildly successful and controversial author, and Mara is a creative writing professor at a prestigious Toronto university. One day, Matt wanders into one of Mara’s lectures, looking to reconnect as though nothing has changed in the past seven years. But for Mara, a new mother, a lot has changed. While Matt’s career may have skyrocketed, he’s still the same free-spirited college kid that Mara knew years ago, and there’s some comfort and familiarity in that. Bonded by history, shared interests, and a lot of chemistry, the two of them resume their relationship, but what exactly is their relationship? And when are they going to address that question?
