Emerging from the 1980's Los Angeles music scene Chris Holmes is an American heavy metal guitarist and songwriter best known as the lead guitarist of the heavy metal band W.A.S.P. Their debut album titled W.A.S.P was released in 1984 to rave reviews calling it a pure metal masterpiece. With the release of their album along with the MTV inspired music videos of I Wanna Be Somebody and L.O.V.E. Machine Chris Holmes was thrusted into the spotlight as one of heavy metals premiere guitarist emerging out of LA's music scene. Chris's unique style of heavy metal guitar playing and rock & roll image made him a fan favourite worldwide. As the lead guitarist of W.A.S.P. he played on the following albums 1984 W.A.S.P. 1985 The Last Command,1986 Inside the Electric Circus, 1987 Live...In The Raw, 1989 The Headless Children, 1997 Kill Fuck Die, 1998 Double Live Assassins, 1999 Helldorado and 2001 Unholy Terror. After leaving W.A.S.P. in 2002 Chris went on to work with former bandmate Randy Piper on his music project called Animal resulting in a successful tour. Relocating back to Los Angeles late 2003 he began working with several Southern California based metal groups, producing and contributing guitar tracks. In 2007 he was involved in the filming of a Randy Rhoads documentary directed by Peter M. Margolis. In the Summer of 2009 He released Secret Society's "Death by Misadventure." In 2012, Chris released his first solo album titled "Nothing to Lose" which he composed, performed and produced the music and vocals along with Motorhead's Phil Taylor who contributed the drumming & engineered the album. After the success of his first album, Chris started recording his second solo album titled Shitting Bricks & in 2015 it was released coinciding with their first show as Chris Holmes Mean Man in Nantes France. In 2016 a compilation cd was released titled C.H.P followed up in 2018 with the EP titled Under The Influence. In September 2019 Chris Holmes & The Mean Men embarked on their European Tour that brought them into Denmark, Sweden and ending in Norway. 2020 has Chris Holmes & The Mean Men touring Canada for the first time.
