The London Potters Guild (LPG) was founded 1981 to foster an appreciation of the clay arts in the area. In 2009, London Clay Art Centre (LCAC), at 664 Dundas Street, opened its doors as the official home of The London Potters Guild (LPG). This beautifully renovated facility is an 1890s, Victorian-era building in the heart of the historic Old East Village.
The LPG embraced green initiatives while renovating the facility and installed a geothermal heating and cooling system - the first vertically drilled, commercially applied geothermal system in London's downtown core.
LCAC includes studios for classes and guild members, a store where members sell their work, a glazing area, a kiln room, and a delivery area. The London Clay Art Centre offers a range of classes and workshops for adults, teens, and children to members of the community as well as members of the guild.
The London Potters Guild seeks to be a leader in southwestern Ontario in promoting education, appreciation, and participation in the clay arts - pottery and sculpture. We are dedicated to collaborative processes to provide high-quality programming inclusive and accessible to anyone in our community interested in the clay arts.
The LCAC store is open daily, except statutory holidays, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Additionally, we hold two sales a year, the last weekends in April and November.
