‘Superheroes’ by Ian McWethy
'Superheroes, Unite’ by Leslie Cardwell and Jessica Stephens

“It’s a bird… it’s a plane… it’s THE SUPERHERO SPECTACULAR!” Here you’ll see TWO one-act superhero plays — all with one ticket!

SUPERHEROES by Ian McWethy is a funny, fast-paced series of vignettes that explores how the caped crusaders manage their everyday existence. For superheroes, saving the world is tough, but the time spent away from work is tougher. The Hulk has to do taxes, a crime-fighting sidekick joins a support group, and Batman goes stir-crazy without enough criminals to take down.

In SUPERHEROES, UNITE by Leslie Cardwell and Jessica Stephens, the citizens of Nova City need a patron superhero to save them from the evil clutches of the nefarious Colonel Mustard and his sidekick Hemlock. So what do they do?  They hold auditions!  Legions of fantastic, incredible, and uncanny characters descend upon City Hall hoping the mayor and police commissioner might marvel at their strange powers, which range from super strength and super speed, to mind reading and animal whispering, from quoting Shakespeare to pointing out irony. Watch out for when Colonel Mustard unleashes a surprise attack on City Hall, both the mighty and the average must join together to bring justice and security to Nova City.

“Superheroes” is presented through special permission by Playscripts, Inc. and “Superheroes, Unite!” is presented through special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Services, Inc., Englewood, ?Colorado.
