Explore Ontario's Southwest
Ontario’s Southwest is a region shaped by nature and steeped in history, culture, and charm.
Urbanites love our vibrant metropolitan centres, while our quaint port towns and scenic, winding roads attract motorcyclists and bicyclists from near and far. And if you crave the exploration of farm-to-table dining experiences or bucolic wine-tastings from more than 40 vineyards and microbreweries, cheers and raise a glass - you’ve come to the right place.
The Southwest Ontario Tourism Corporation is the provincially mandated Regional Tourism Organization for Ontario’s Southwest (also known as Region 1). With a goal to double tourism for the region by 2020, it will build cohesion as a regional team. Ontario’s Southwest encompasses nine areas, Chatham-Kent, Elgin County, Haldimand County, London, Middlesex County, Norfolk County, Oxford County, Sarnia-Lambton and Windsor-Essex-Pelee. Collectively, this region provides visitors with a diverse offering of nature and culturally based experiences, events and festivals throughout the year.
