
In 1997 the City of London approved a Sport Tourism initiative which is now directed by Tourism London. Magnificent facilities, experienced and dedicated volunteers and organizational expertise have all contributed to London becoming a destination of choice for sporting events. London boasts an impressive resume of hosting sporting events from grassroots to major international events and everything in between.
The Sport Tourism Division of Tourism London markets London as a premier destination for regional, national and international amateur & professional sporting events. London and area has a long and successful history of hosting a variety of tournaments and events including the jewel, the 2001 Canada Summer Games.
