Look out, folks they're back! When a cappella singers Artisan (from West Yorkshire, England) hung up their tonsils in November 2005, they weren't adamant about saying: Never again, but they knew they were going to wait for the right time to reunite. Finally Artisan's own itchiness to sing some harmonies again got the better of them. This short reunion tour sees them doing dates in the UK in July and September 2010 (with festivals and a few select concerts in Canada in August sandwiched in the middle.) Birthed in 1985 as a fun thing to do for husband & wife Brian & Jacey Bedford and their friend Hilary Spencer, Artisan kept getting invited to play more and more gigs until finally they kicked their day jobs into touch and went full time in 1989. After that they toured relentlessly throughout the UK, Canada, the USA, Europe and even Australia via Hong Kong until 2005 when they decided to "retire".
Now Artisan is looking forward to being back on the road and meeting up with friends old and new. There will be old favourites and some new original Brian Bedford songs plus a new CD is in the works. So expect to be thoroughly entertained - Old songs. New songs. Same voices. Same wonderful sense of humour.
Also on the bill are ex-Tanglefoot veterans Al Parrish & Steve Ritchie. Ever since Tanglefoot played its farewell concert last December, the individuals have been busily working on solo and duo projects. The connection between Artisan and Tanglefoot goes back many years and has developed into a wondeful friendship, so the inclusion of Al & Steve as the special guests for this concert is another special reunion.
The concert begins at 8:00 pm (doors open at 7:00 pm).
