Lifetime artist and long time London resident, Michael Durham, will be exhibiting paintings from his world travels at The Art Exchange.  Works in this exhibit reflect Michael’s love of the unusual and exotic.  His works include large acrylic paintings with roughly worked surfaces, small collages and drawings. Often Michael reworks a painting or drawing over a period of many years.  For him the piece is completed when it is framed for a show.

Michael was born in the U.K. and studied at Leeds College of Art.  In 1970 he moved to London, Ontario, where he taught art at Fanshawe until his retirement in 2003.   Currently he has paintings on exhibit at University of Western Ontario and the London Court House.  His most recent exhibition in Toronto was at Moore’s Gallery.
