From the vintage perspective provided by historic sites to the themed entertainment children enjoy at Storybook Gardens, there are plenty of attractions to make your visit to the Forest City an enjoyable - and memorable - experience.

Cultural landmarks include The Grand Theatre - Canada's oldest continually-performing playhouse. Victoria Park situated in the heart of the downtown is considered to be one of the most important designed landscapes of the 19th century. Our Springbank Park arboretum with its showcase collection of many outstanding tree specimens is another landscape in an elite category.
You can explore the city's past through its museums and historic sites - many of which you'll find along the routes of the theme walking tours mapped out at the London Heritage Council. Throughout older neighbourhoods there are excellent examples of Gothic Revival, Italianate, High Victorian Gothic, Second Empire and Queen Anne style buildings. Among the designated heritage properties open to the public is Eldon House, London's oldest surviving residence. Virtually unchanged since the 19th century, this historic home contains family heirlooms and features a re-created period garden.

Festivals figure prominently in the city's seasonal attractions with summer events such as Sunfest, a world music and culture festival which is the second biggest in Canada after Toronto's Caribana, Home County Folk Festival, London International Children's Festival and a variety of community heritage celebrations.
